Hike the Andes, share a meal, and feel the mountain

This experience blends hiking, landscapes, and traditional food.

You’ll walk through the Andes Mountains, surrounded by valleys and panoramic views — up to nearly 3,000 meters above sea level.

The route can be adapted: hike through gentle ravines or take on the challenge of reaching a scenic summit — it all depends on your pace and energy.

Along the trail, you’ll see native flora and fauna, and even drink from crystal-clear mountain springs.

After the hike, we gather to enjoy a traditional Argentine barbecue with homemade appetizers — the perfect way to close the day in the Andes.

What makes this hike special?

It’s not just about hiking — it’s about spending a day in the Andes, tasting local flavors, and enjoying good company.

This full-day experience offers:

  • An adaptable trail: from a relaxed walk through scenic quebradas, to a summit challenge of nearly 3,000 meters — the route adjusts to your energy and preferences.

  • Argentine barbecue at its best: fire-grilled beef with traditional appetizers, salad, Mendoza wine, and dessert — all prepared with care.

  • Nature, silence, and connection: explore wide open landscapes, breathe clean mountain air, and take in panoramic views.

This hike is for those looking to disconnect, connect with local culture, and create memories in the highlands — all in one unforgettable day.

One of the best moments we had in Mendoza. Daniel is great and super kind from the moment he welcomed us at his house. He took us to places we could not even imagine, we had an incredible time! We will definitely come back, and we recommend him wherever we go.”

How do I book?

You can book directly through the “Book Your Hiking Day” button on this page — it’s fast, secure, and confirms your spot right away.

If you prefer, you can also message us on WhatsApp to coordinate the details and book manually.

What does it not include?
  • Personal items (clothing, sunscreen, etc.).

  • Pick-up beyond 15 km from Mendoza city.

  • Any service not explicitly mentioned in the itinerary or description.

What to bring
  • 30L backpack (or larger) — so you can pack all your layers comfortably.

  • 1 liter of water, minimum.

  • Sportswear: long sleeves, long pants, fleece jacket, windbreaker, cap, and sneakers or hiking boots (waterproof is ideal).

  • Winter add-ons: insulated jacket, buff or scarf, liner gloves, and beanie.

  • Sun protection: sunscreen and sunglasses.

Do I need to have trekking experience?

No experience is required. This hike is fully adaptable — we adjust the route and pace to match the group’s physical condition and preferences.

That said, the entire experience takes place above 2,400 meters, so even on an easy route, some level of aerobic effort is required due to the altitude.

It’s ideal for those who enjoy walking in nature — whether you’re just getting started or already love the mountains.

What is the local weather like?

The climate in the Andes is cooler and more unpredictable than in Mendoza city. Even in summer, it can feel cold at high altitude — especially in the early morning or on cloudy days.

From May to September (Southern Hemisphere winter), temperatures can drop below freezing and snowfall is possible. Warm clothing and all recommended gear are essential to stay comfortable.

No matter the season, we recommend dressing in layers. It’s better to have extra clothing in the car than to miss part of the experience because of the cold.
