Discover life at the mountain post
Where each horseback ride or hikes begins, and every meal tells a story.
At Don Daniel Ranch, the post isn’t just a place — it’s where we live, work, and share our way of life in the Andes. From here, we ride into the mountains, hike along wild trails, cook over open fires, and welcome travelers into real gaucho culture.
Mountain Post: Simple living, rich taste, and genuine connection
This is not only where we work — this is where we live.
Here at the post, the mountains set the rhythm of the day: we wake with the sunrise, tend to our animals, cook over the fire, and share stories around the table. It’s a place to slow down, reconnect, and experience the Andes not as a tourist, but as a welcomed guest.
Homemade regional cuisine:
Enjoy the flavors of the mountains, prepared in our own kitchen — barbecue cooked slowly over flames and served with Mendoza wine, fresh-fried dough, and handmade appetizers rooted in local tradition.
A living landscape:
Horses, cows, goats, and chickens roam freely, raised with care and part of the daily life that surrounds our home in the Cordón del Plata.
Life at the Post

What is the experience like?
The Post isn’t a place you come to visit — it’s a place you come to live.
Whether on horseback or on foot, your journey into the Andes brings you here: to the heart of the Cordón del Plata, where gaucho life unfolds naturally with every fire lit and every animal fed.
A day surrounded by nature: No walls, no noise — just mountains.
Our ranch building is simple, because the real experience is outside. You’ll spend your time among the hills and streams, with landscapes that stretch endlessly and silence that’s full of meaning.
Mountain cuisine, made at home
From fresh empanadas and fried dough, to asado with Mendoza wine and hand-prepared appetizers, every meal is cooked here at the post — with the same care we’ve always had for our guests and family.
Traditions, not performances
Instead of a “tour,” you’ll share our rhythm: meeting our horses, watching how we live, experiencing the Andes from the inside out. This isn’t a show — it’s a slice of life.
“With my partner we fell in love with this place, a unique place in Argentina that is worth visiting.
Daniel and his family were very kind to us. You can tell they love what they do, and they have impeccable horses. We had an unforgettable time”
