Here at the post, the mountains set the rhythm of the day: we wake with the sunrise, tend to our animals, cook over the fire, and share stories around the table. It’s a place to slow down, reconnect, and experience the Andes not as a tourist, but as a welcomed guest.

Homemade regional cuisine:

Enjoy the flavors of the mountains, prepared in our own kitchen — barbecue cooked slowly over flames and served with Mendoza wine, fresh-fried dough, and handmade appetizers rooted in local tradition.

A living landscape:

Horses, cows, goats, and chickens roam freely, raised with care and part of the daily life that surrounds our home in the Cordón del Plata.

Mountain cuisine, made at home

From fresh empanadas and fried dough, to asado with Mendoza wine and hand-prepared appetizers, every meal is cooked here at the post — with the same care we’ve always had for our guests and family.

About the place

Rancho Don Daniel is a mountain outpost in the Cordón del Plata Range , Mendoza.

Surrounded by peaks up to 6,000 meters, the area is shaped by mountain streams and silence.

We live here — raising animals, cooking with fire, and welcoming travelers into our everyday life. From Mendoza city, it’s a scenic 2-hour drive through small towns like Cacheuta and Potrerillos to Las Lajas Post, in Valle del Sol.

Here, tradition lives on — and every ride starts at our home.
